 Butwal Lions Eye Hospital

Butwal Lions Eye Hospital was established on 21st November 1996 as Lions Eye Care Center with the help and coordination of Lions Club of Butwal, Lions Clubs International, Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh and SEVA foundation. After MOU with Lumbini Eye Institute, Bhairahawa on 27th September 2010, Lions Eye Care Center is then known as Butwal Lions Eye Hospital. The hospital is located at Lions chowk, Butwal-4.  

This eye hospital provides eye care services to about 250000 population of Butwal and its periphery.  There are 29 staffs including one ophthalmologist as medical superintendent.

Extra activities conducted by hospital

1.       Free optical distributed to 704 through school screening program (455-NNJS and 249-SEVA TOMS).

2.       Butwal Lions Eye Hospital Hosts NNJS- Western Regional Meeting.

3.       Hospital Hosts Mid-term Evaluation Meeting.

4.       Hospital celebrated NEPAL NETRA JYOTI DIWAS with distribution of fruits to operated patients.

5.       Butwal Lions Eye Hospital successfully celebrated World Sight Day Program on 23rd Ashoj 2071 at Sau-farsatikar.

6.       Butwal Lions Eye Hospital organized teacher's training Program with technical support of Lumbini Eye Institute where 25 teachers were participated.

 

7.       Arranged welcome program of SEVA US executive director Mr. Jack Blanks & associate director HEIDY, SEVA Canada Director Dr. KEN BASSET, Lions International Director LION ALEXIS VINCENT GOMES.
